Size: ~2 to 3 mm
Characteristics: Small. Stout in appearance with a long snout. Ranges from reddish-brown to black in color. Has four light yellow or reddish spots on the corners of its hard protective wings.
Locations: Commonly found in grain storage facilities, silos, and warehouses where grains such as wheat, corn, oats, rice, barley, sorghum, and other cereal products are stored. Infestations can occur in home pantries.
