Brown Citrus Aphid

Name: 𝘛𝘰𝘹𝘰𝘱𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘢 𝘤𝘪𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘪𝘥𝘶𝘴

Size: ~1.5 to 2.8 mm

Characteristics: Winged adult is shiny, dark-brown to black; wingless adult is shiny black. Six segmented antennae.

Locations: Citrus trees in backyards, gardens, citrus orchards, or farms.

Size: ~1.8 to 2.1 mm

Characteristics: Black head and thorax. Yellowish green abdomen with large dark dorsal patch. Green nymphs.

Locations: Infests a wide range of plants: ornamental flowers, vegetables, and fruit trees commonly found in home gardens. Also infests potatoes, peppers, tomatoes, and various other fruits on farms. Invades greenhouses, where it can infest young plants and propagate rapidly. Public parks and botanical gardens especially during warmer months.

Name: 𝘈𝘱𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘨𝘰𝘴𝘴𝘺𝘱𝘪𝘪

Size: ~1 to 2 mm

Characteristics: Variation in body coloration: whitish, yellow, pale green, light green, dark green. Pale legs with black tips.

Locations: Various host plants in the cucurbit family (e.g. watermelon, cucumber, cantaloupe). Also cotton crops. Tends to infest the underside of leaves or the tips of vines, where it feeds on plant sap.
